Pellenc ST achieved success by meeting the exponentially increasing demands of the British and Irish markets.


As expected, the English, Scottish, Welsh, Northern Irish and Irish markets are expanding rapidly. Both the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland are rapidly catching up with other European countries in terms of their waste treatment and recycling. Pellenc ST was able to rise to the challenge and meet this demand.
 
25 Pellenc optical sorting machines will be installed before the end of 2007 in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland. The United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland are being very efficient in the way they are going about the treatment and recovery of reusable materials, with MRFs, PET & HPDE Recyclers, Pre-treatment facilities such as RDF plants, compost purification facilities and WEEE Sorting Plants.

One of the typical British waste streams, known as «Mixed-Plastics», is composed of 40% PET, 40% HPDE and 20% other plastics. Pellenc’s technology sorts this material to outstanding purity and efficiency performances.

On a stream of dry household waste, the MISTRAL machine can deliver 95% purity on paper, newspaper and magazine streams and can also recuperate up to 95% of recyclable plastics such as PET and HDPE.Pellenc ST is also proving its worth in new applications and is once again spear-heading industry development with:
 

• WEEE sorting with the first machine to be installed in the British Isles
• RDF purification with the installation of several machines in the 1st automated facility in the UK.

In anticipation of the major expansion of the UK and Irish markets, Pellenc has just signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Blue Machinery Plc.
