Paper and cardboard, including containers of liquids for human consumption, are present in:

These materials can be recovered in various ways:

  • recycling: over 50% of tonnages are currently used by this sector
  • energy recovery such as residue derived fuel (RDF)
  • biological recovery by composting or methanisation to produce compost

At the various stages of the treatment process, Pellenc ST offers solutions such as:

separating paper and cardboard from each other by family for recycling:

  • purifying streams of newspaper and magazines from impurities such as plastic and from undesirables such as cartons
  • separating brown cardboard from a mixed paper stream

sorting the entire paper and cardboard fractions for the 3 trade sectors and adapting this to the local context.

NEW: an entirely new technology developed by the Pellenc ST R&D teams now offers the ultimate solution for paper sorting. This technology is based on using infra-red detection to determine the weight of the paper, or more exactly the length of the fibres in the celluloid materials. The length of the fibres enables the paper to be identified without any possibility of error and determine if it is of good quality or not. This unique system is called BOREAS
