Organic materials come from:

• selective collection of specific ferments and green waste 
•  pre-treatment facilities for untreated or residual household waste.
   

After composting and methanisation, the material decomposes resulting in a compost that can either be used for material recovery or else stored (if stable) depending upon its quality.
At the various stages of the treatment of organic waste, Pellenc ST offers optical sorting solutions to eliminate contaminants before and after fermentation, such as:

• plastics (detection of sizes as small as 10*10mm) 
• ferrous and non-ferrous metallic elements (undetected upstream) using the Metal Detector
