CDW RECYCLING / Life + project
PELLENC ST is a partner of VEOLIA and LERM for CDW RECYCLING / Life + With its expertise in the optical sorting of waste, PELLENC ST has initiated this project with Veolia and LERM. The CDW RECYCLING project is co-financed by the European Commission under the LIFE + program. Objectives The project aims to use innovative technologies to solve problems that currently limit the recycling and reuse of building materials and demolition. A pilot plant will be integrated into the sorting of construction waste at Veolia Nice to sort materials 8-30 mm and 30-80 mm on an industrial scale. To do this, PELLENC ST will integrate its Mistral High Resolution optical sorting Machine with NIR technology to sort small fractions. Additional tests on the site will help refine validation settings and process specifications. The new process should demonstrate that it is possible to recover large number of construction and demolition waste, with less impact on the environment compared to traditional management of this type of waste through the production of a fraction CSR (Combustible Solid Waste) and produce a fraction of plaster which can be recovered. To know more, please see the website dedicated to the project CDW Recycling http://www.cdw-recycling.eu/ CDW RECYCLING in the press http://www.efficient-innovation.fr/veolia_proprete/?lang=en
PELLENC ST increases its capital
and strengthens its position as an international leader in the booming waste recycling market. PELLENC ST has concluded its discussions and increased its capital, which now stands at 7 million Euros. Its long-standing shareholders, among them Roger Pellenc, founder and majority shareholder of French group Pellenc SA, contributed significantly to the capital increase. This comes as the company opens the largest recycling plant in Brazil, strengthening its position as a leading international player. In top or second place, depending on the market, for innovative, high added-value optical sorting solutions in the recycling and waste sorting field, PELLENC ST has increased its capital in order to provide it with the necessary resources for its development strategy in France and abroad. “This capital increase reflects our shareholders’ and banks’ confidence, and the growing interest in the development of high technology solutions for waste recycling It will enable us to continue our commercial and technical deployment in both our historical and our growing markets. With this capital we will be able to sustain our developments for optimizing the sorting of paper, cardboard and plastic film waste, and quality control tools for operators. With changing regulations, and especially the extension of recycling instructions in France, we must be ready to respond to the new challenges for our industry”, delightedly said Jean Henin, CEO of PELLENC ST.
NEWSROOM BRAZIL In the presence of the former president Lula, the company ECO URBIS has just opened a new recycling plant on 16 th of July in Brazil : Central Mecanizada de Triagem “CAROLINA MARIA DE JESUS” Unidade Santo Amaro in São Paulo. PELLENC ST has provided 4 optical sorting machines to the company, allowing the plant to optimize its recycling of 250t of waste per day. Those equipment used for recovering of waste stream issued from the curbside collection of the São Paulo-Brazil area. PELLENC sorters combine Vision and infrared technology so that PET, PEHD and tetra pack materials can be recycled and sorted according to material and colour. The plant is also equipped with a new machine Mistral Films, the only optical sorting solution for plastic films. This patented designed spectrometer along with the Turbosorter achieves performances with plastic films that are unmatched with traditional methods on the market. With this new inauguration and more than 20 machines In Brazil, Pellenc ST is actively developing new sorting solutions for the municipal recovery facilities. FRANCE Last week we received Olivier DALLE from ENVIRONNEMENT 48 in order to exchange and share our experieces on waste recycling. During this visit, discussions were focused on the collection and waste sorting and the management of these problematics by ENVIRO 48. Environnement 48 collects, sorts and recycles diffrent types of waste (household and industrial …) in the Massif Central area (Lozère, Aveyron, Cantal,…) http://www.environnement48.fr/entreprise-environnement-massif-central.php BRAZIL Grand opening in Sao Paulo at Loga, the operator for waste selective collection in South America’s largest city. Pellenc ST provided state-of-the-art optical sorting equipment for the first Brazilian automatized materials recovery facility. We had the chance to meet the Minister of Environment and the mayor of the city of Sao Paulo, among many other major representatives of the Brazilian industry SPAIN The new MISTRAL machines equipped with 2G software were installed recently on the VALSEQUILLO plant in Spain. To learn more about this successful operation please see the article : 2 G MACHINES – SPAIN ITALY New plant equipeed with Pellenc ST machines in Italy AKRON Plant, Granarolo dell’Emilia, Italy PST has recently installed 3 machines of its latest range of products to sort different types of plastics in a multi-layer materials stream from the curbside collection. The Mistral Dual Vision machines combine the spectroscopic detection of materials and colours. Detection is refined to the point of being able to create families of materials by combining the resin types and colour. The recognition of plastics by colour, as well as of different materials such as paper, cardboard, plastics, beverage cartons, is possible in just one passage thanks to Mistral Dual Vision technology and the 2G software. With this project, Pellenc consolidates its presence in Italy since 13 years.
